Do you knit or crochet? Would you like to learn? From beginners to advanced, all are welcome to join the
With Hearts and Hands Prayer Shawl Ministry! You may work with others in monthly meetings or by yourself in the comfort
of your own home. Instructions, yarn, needles, patterns and loving support are provided. Different prayer shawl
ministries define a prayer shawl in different ways.
While volunteers of this group are not required to use specific patterns or yarns, they are expected to begin their work
with prayer and continue those intentions throughout, blessings ripple from person to person, with everyone involved feeling
the unconditional embrace of a sheltering, nuturing God. When completed, shawls are tagged and personally delivered.
This ministry meets at First Presbyterian Church of San Leandro on the first Sunday of each month, 12:30 p.m., in the
Fireside Room. Anyone is welcome to join us whether or not you knit or crochet - as there are many ways to support this
ministry.
